GTM strategy sprints for B2B tech and SaaS

Choose where to play. Align on how to win.

A GTM strategy sprint is a fixed-fee engagement of one to two weeks that gives B2B tech and SaaS leaders an outside-in view of their go-to-market and one agreed commercial direction: who to target, how to win them and a 90-day roadmap the team can run.

Is this you?

01 / Recognise this?

Busy team. Unclear direction.

Marketing, sales and product are moving, but not towards the same commercial priorities.

Can everyone name your best-fit customer?

02 / Recognise this?

A market that has moved.

Your proposition, competitors or buyers have changed, and the go-to-market has not caught up yet.

Would your best customers still choose you today?

03 / Recognise this?

About to commit budget or headcount.

A new hire, a new market or a bigger budget is on the table, and you want focus before you commit.

What is the one constraint that budget should solve?

Engagement model

1 to 2 weeks

Fixed fee

Fixed fee, scoped after the first call. Stakeholder and customer interviews, then two leadership workshops: one to agree the diagnosis, one to make the decisions. The sprint stands on its own: anything after it is agreed only once the findings are in.

How it works

01

Diagnose

Review your market, funnel, team and systems from the outside in. Find the constraint behind the symptoms.

Week 1: interviews and data review, then the diagnosis workshop

02

Align

Bring leadership together around the commercial outcome, the ICP, positioning and priorities. Decide what not to do.

Week 2: the decision workshop on ICP, positioning and priorities

03

Roadmap

Turn the decisions into a focused 90-day roadmap with clear ownership, ready for your team to run.

End of the sprint

What a GTM strategy sprint is for

When your market, proposition or growth priorities need sharper focus, more effort rarely helps. The sprint starts with an outside-in view of the business: your market, your buyers, your funnel and how the team works today. It then brings leadership together around a commercial direction the team can act on.

The questions are simple and often hard to answer: who is your best-fit customer, why do they choose you, where does qualified pipeline leak, and what should the team stop doing. The sprint answers them with evidence from your own market and funnel, then turns the answers into decisions the leadership team owns.

What you leave with

You leave with decisions, not a slide deck. An agreed ICP and positioning, one shared definition of a qualified lead, and a 90-day roadmap with clear owners. The roadmap is built so that your team owns and runs it.

When it fits

It fits when you need focus before committing more budget or headcount: before a key hire, a new market, a funding round or a bigger marketing budget. It is also a good first step before a demand generation build-out or fractional growth leadership, because both work better on a clear direction.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a GTM strategy sprint take? +

One to two weeks, depending on the size of the business and how much input is already available. In a one-week sprint, both workshops happen in the same week.

How is it priced? +

Fixed fee, scoped after the first call.

Who from our side should take part? +

The CEO or founder, plus the heads of marketing, sales and product. The sprint combines stakeholder and customer interviews with two leadership workshops: one to agree the diagnosis, one to make the decisions.

What do we have at the end? +

A shared view of the problem, an agreed ICP and positioning, one definition of a qualified lead and a 90-day roadmap that your team owns and runs.

What happens after the sprint? +

Your team runs the roadmap. If you want support with the build, that can follow as a focused project or an ongoing retainer, agreed only once the findings are in.

How is this different from a traditional strategy consultancy? +

It is short, fixed fee and built for execution. The output is a roadmap your team acts on next week, not a long report, and it comes from someone with two decades of in-house B2B commercial experience.
